In Kugelmühle Andreas Stern juxtaposes two very different positions. Muntean/Rosenblum engage with subjects from art history and popular culture, and by transposing historically overwhelming visual motifs into the present, they spark a discussion about the media conditions under which images are produced today.
Gerwald Rockenschaub’s work is closely linked to the Neo-Geo movement of the 1980s and explores the boundaries between the abstract avant-garde, minimalism, and Pop Art. He often intervenes directly in the architecture to question the relationship between the viewer, the artwork, and the space.
