On (Re)encountering Disappearance
HochSommer is a cross-border, contemporary art festival in the southeasternmost part of Austria that looks beyond the border. From July 31 to August 9, exhibitions, performances, and concerts will take place at 15 venues in southeastern Styria, southern Burgenland, and neighboring Slovenia. These events create spaces for artistic interventions and provide a platform for socially relevant themes.
In its 10th year, HochSommer aims to counter the disappearance of so many things that seem valuable and essential to us, including through subversive and humorous strategies.
All exhibitions are open from July 31 to August 9, Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours may vary at individual exhibition venues.

Bus-Tours
This year the festival can also be visited with a small ecological footprint. On the weekends we offer an alternative to individual transport. Starting from the train stations Feldbach and Fehring, there will be art tours with small buses accompanied by authors, which will shed light on the background of the exhibited works and put them in the context of the region.
