Relational Grounds

Relational Grounds is a site-specific exhibition that focuses on the subtle, often invisible structures that arise between thoughts, bodies and places. The space not only forms the context, but also the starting point: with its history, its traces and its open, changing architecture, it becomes an active partner in the artistic process. The participating artists enter into a dialogical creative process with the architecture and with each other. A network of relationships grows out of this process, interweaving space, memory and the present.

The sculptor Karl Karner has acquired a dilapidated farmstead in Grad (SLO), which he has only partially renovated and secured in order to make it available to artists and art projects and to allow it to grow with the resulting processes.
